Wavy hair is a great look for many occasions, whether it be casual or fancy. It adds a beautiful touch to your overall style. For those with stubborn hair that resists curls, a wave most likely will be a better alternative. Using a straightener is a very easy way to accomplish this look in little time.

Instructions

    1

Clip your hair into sections. Part your hair appropriately. Gather the top layers of your hair on the right side of your part into a clip. As well, separate the top layers to the left side of your part into a separate section. Section the remainder of your hair into two to five horizontal sections.

    2

Separate a piece of hair to wave. Work with bottom sections first and work your way up one section at a time. Separate approximately a one-inch area of hair to work with at a time.

    3

Apply a thermal heat protector to your hair. This protects your hair from any damage a straightener normally would cause, giving you a sleek, finished look. Spritz a couple bursts of heat protector on a workable section of hair. Use your hands to drag the product evenly across your hair.

    4

Wave your hair by grasping the section within in the arms of the straightener. Make sure the straightener is placed approximately one inch away from your roots. Without moving the straightener from its position on your hair, turn the straightener completely upside down. Slowly drag the straightener about two inches down your hair. Without releasing the straightener's grip, undo the flip so the straightener is back in the original position. Turn and flip the straightener in the opposite direction. Drag the straightener another two inches down your hair. Repeat this process until you reach the end.

    5

Apply hair spray to your wavy style once you have finished waving all the sections. Scrunch your hair with one hand as you apply hair spray with the other.
