How to Make Hair Gel: Easy Homemade Recipe

Did you know that you can use gelatin for adding volume to your hair? It is actually the original hair "gel." If it sounds strange to you to put gelatin in your hair, consider that most commercial hair gel contains: polymethacrylate, PEG-75, and PEG-8, FD&C Red 4 or Yellow 5 and many other chemicals. Some chemicals present skin and eye irritation as well as health risks.

Instructions

Heat 2 1/2 cups of water.

Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of gelatin into the water. Stir.

Allow the gel to cool.

May be used when it reaches room temperature.

Store in the refrigerator for later use. You may warm before using if desired.
