Fringe bangs are a more subtle kind of bang that add more dimension to the hair around your face and add more interest to any hair style. They usually involve just a few shorter pieces of hair that gradually become longer past the outer corners of your eyes. How you style them depends on the occasion, your hair type, and the length of your fringe bangs. Even if you pull the rest of your hair back, you can still style the fringe around your face to create a look.

Instructions

    1

Blow dry your hair or let it dry naturally. Brush your fringe in the direction that you want them to go while you are blow drying, or part it while it is still wet. For example, if you want to get the 'swept' look for your fringe, brush them from one side to the other across your forehead. Make sure all of the front pieces are in front and not back with the rest of your hair. Apply a heat protecting product to any parts of your hair that you plan to use a flat iron or curling iron on.

    2

Curl the very ends of your fringe if they are long with a small-barrel curling iron. If you naturally have curly hair, soften and tame the curls by bringing a flat iron from the roots and let go before you reach the ends of your fringe. You can also alternate curly and straight pieces if you have very long, side-swept fringe. Spritz with a little hair spray to reduce frizz and hold the curl.

    3

Straighten short fringe that you may have in the front that falls in the middle of your forehead. If you don't already have straight hair, run a flat iron through them with a slight curving motion so that they curve with your forehead and don't just lie pin-straight. For more texture, apply a small amount of hair wax to your straightened fringe.
