If you are a teenager you know how important it is to have a current and popular hairstyle. In 2009, the trend for teenage boy's hair was to have longer hair.

Actor Zac Efron has a look that some teenage boys want to emulate. When Zac's hair is longer it is around ear- to chin-length. To achieve this look, you need side-swept bangs that are parted far to the left. With your hair now sweeping across your forehead towards your ear, use texturizing product to make the ends of the bangs frame the side of your face. Use this texturizer to push the rest of your hair to matte to the side and back of your head. Then put the product in the ends of the rest of your hair and have pieces sticking outwards and all over; this gives a more tousled look at the ends that are not framing your face.

Taylor Lautner played Jacob Black in the popular movie, "Twilight." In this movie he has long hair that teenage boys can adapt by growing their hair out to lengths beyond their shoulders. Taylor's hair is softly curled, but whether your hair is straight or curly the key to long hair is to maintain it. Wash it regularly and use moisturizing conditioner. If you want your hair long and straight, blow it dry using a big brush; you can even use a straightener if you wish to. If you hair is naturally curly, a ponytail at the nape of neck is a viable option.

Joe Jonas is the middle child of the Jonas Brothers trio and well known for his long hair. This style will work best for naturally wavy hair. To achieve this look, have your hair cut into layers with the ends razor-cut to give the appearance of softness. The sides and the back are cut to shoulder length; the bangs are long and side-swept. After the haircut, the way to style it is to initially straighten all of your hair. Then use a straightener to flip out the ends on the side and back of the hair. The ends should look wispy and just flowing outward. Use hairspray to keep the side swept with the ends flowing towards the ears.
