How to Make Flaxseed Hair Styling Gel

Flaxseed hair styling gel is a simple, natural homemade product that is highly effective in keeping hair firmly in place during a busy day or evening. Making your own styling gel will also save you quite a bit of money over buying expensive commercial brands, which often contain potentially dangerous and unnecessary preservatives to help stabilize them during the long shipping and shelving process.

Instructions

Put the flaxseeds in a medium mixing bowl and pour the distilled water over the flaxseeds. Let the flaxseeds soak for about 20 minutes.

Strain the seeds in a colander, reserving the water in a mixing bowl.

Add the rose water and vegetable glycerin to the mixing bowl and stir with a disposable stirrer or a wooden spoon.

Transfer the final mixture to a large spray bottle and let rest overnight in a cool, dry place. Shake gently before each use.
