The Maxi Glide is a revolutionary hair straightener that uses stem and detangling pins to straighten your hair, rather than the old standby of ceramic plates. When you get your Maxi Glide, you'll probably want your hair stick straight. But there are other types of hairstyles you can create with your Maxi Glide.
Stick Striaght
To get the stick straight hair that is advertised on the Maxi Glide infomercial, you'll need to do some prep work. Dampen your hair, and then run a straightening serum through it, and allow it to air dry or blow dry for extra volume. Then take 4-inch sections of hair and slowly run the Maxi Glide through it. If it helps to clip the hair you're not working on our of the way, coil off sections and clip them up. Go slowly and add more serum if you hair seems to be frizzing for a perfect straight look.
High Volume
To turn up the volume in your hair with the Maxi Glide, just try drying your hair as you usually do, and then sectioning off a 4-inch section of your hair at the crown of your head. Put the Maxi Glide in as if you were going to slide it through, but instead hold it at the crown and twist for a few seconds. Then slide it out, but instead of sliding down, slide it all the way up the hair, pointing it toward the ceiling. This will create amazing volume right at the roots.
Flipped Out
The Maxi Glide can make easy work of those cute, layered, flipped hairstyles. Use the Maxi Glider to smooth and straighten your hair, but as you slide down the hair shaft, when you reach the end, flip the Maxi Glide out with the hair still in the detangling pins. Hold for a few seconds and then release for perfectly flipped ends.
Half Back
If you love the sophisticated style of pulling half of your hair into a ponytail, try a new twist with the Maxi Glide. Smooth the entire head of hair as normal with the Maxi Glide. Then smooth the front sections of hair. While still warm, comb those pieces back and clip them just above the nape of the neck for a lasting style.
Curl Appeal
For big, bouncy curls and waves, try using your Maxi Glide like a curling iron. Activate the curl with a little mousse or curling spray and allow to dry. Then take a section of hair and slide the Maxi Glide all the way to the bottom. Then twist the Maxi Glide back up while still holding the tip of the hair. Your hair should wrap neatly around the Maxi Glide. Hold for 10 seconds and then release before continuing with the rest of your hair.
