Many women enjoy having long, straight hair. Straight hair is versatile because it molds easily into many styles without needing a lot of product or producing frizz. Straight hair can masquerade as curly or wavy hair or be ironed perfectly stick straight.
Straight hair also has versatility when it comes to everyday cuts and styles. Since straight hair shows layers and shaping very well, there are plenty of looks for straight-haired women to choose from.
Blunt Hair, Blunt Bangs
This cut is best for women with heart-shaped faces, high cheekbones and big eyes. In this cut, all of your hair is cut to one length, usually a few inches below the shoulders. This cut usually has thick bangs that fall evenly to just above your eyebrows. The effect is that your hair frames your face very squarely, almost as if your face is a picture and your hair is the frame.
Variations on this style include small, asymmetrically spaced braids all over your head, tiny rhinestone clips clipped into your hair randomly to look like stars or a simple twist at the back of the head secured with a decorative clip.
Spiky Layered Ends
This cut works very well for thin hair because it uses layers and a razor cut. Layering slices away weight from the shorter upper layers, giving hair volume, while longer lower layers allow you to wear your hair long. Razor cutting uses a sharp razor to cut away hair at tiny angles, giving your hair more body and movement. The result is that the ends of your hair look like long, elegant spikes. You can wear this style with or without spiky, layered bangs. This style also looks very nice in a high ponytail.
Elegant Side-Part
This style is easy and looks nice on any woman, regardless of facial features or hair thickness. Part your hair deeply to the side, lining the part up with the outer end of one of your eyebrows. Use a paddle brush and a blow-dryer to smooth your hair down and curl in the ends slightly. Your hair should be shiny and smooth, covering a little of your face on the heavier side of the part. You can wear this style unadorned to formal occasions or put a small, decorative clip behind your ear on the lighter side of the part.
