The Best Homemade Hair Curling Lotion

With all of the styling gels and setting lotions on the market, it's hard to really know which one works best or which is really good for your hair. The beauty salons want you to buy specific products from them so they can get a financial boost, not to mention that the prices are triple what they should be. So the ideal solution is to create a homemade curling lotion.

There are a variety of homemade curling lotions for daily use that can be created from home that are less expensive than they are at the local store and just as effective. The solutions that can be made from home not only encourage holding a curl or style, but will provide a deep conditioning to the hair shaft.

Combine 1/4 cup flaxseed oil, 1/4 cup aloe vera juice or gel, and 1 cup of water in a medium saucepan. Bring this solution to a boil for approximately three minutes. After the 3three minutes are up, add a capful of lavender oil to the liquid and stir. Strain the solution and pour the liquid into a spray bottle. The lavender oil works as a preservative, which will enable this liquid to keep for a longer period of time.

Another method for creating a styling gel from home is 1/4 cup of coconut oil, 1/2 cup aloe vera gel, and 1 cup of glycerine. Combine all of the ingredients together in a mixing bowl and put dit in the microwave for five minutes. After the alloted time, remove it and stir throughly before storing it in a sealed container. It should last you approximately two to three weeks.

The final method to making a homemade curling lotion is to dissolve 1/2 teaspoon of unflavored gelatin in 1/2 cup of warm water and then refrigerate. If this is not enough, you may double the recipe. By keeping this mixture refrigerated it will last for one week. All of these ideas are perfectly safe for your hair and some of them actually work as a conditioner at the same time.
