How to Use Sunbeam Hot Rollers

Time is important to everyone, and Sunbeam hot rollers help save time by curling your hair while you are doing other things. Using Sunbeam hot rollers is not just a matter of throwing them in your hair and hoping for the best. There is a method to using the rollers that will help you achieve the results you are looking for.

Instructions

Make sure your hair is thoroughly dry. High heat on wet hair can cause damage and breakage. Plug in the roller set to heat up. Depending upon the style of your Sunbeam rollers, the time they take to heat up can vary from 1 to 5 minutes. Pay attention to your "ready" indicator light on the heating tray.

Divide your hair into sections. Make one section from the bangs to top of the head. Make another section from the tip of one ear, around the head to the other ear. Create a third section at the bottom of your head, which is anything that falls below the top of the ears. Begin rolling with at the third section. If you desire loose curls, use larger rollers. Tighter curls require smaller rollers.

Take a section of hair you wish to curl and comb it until it is flat and smooth. (The section of hair should be the same width as the roller you will be using.) Spray it with hairspray.

Roll the hair in the direction that you want it to go when the roller is removed. Secure the roller with a pin. Continue this process until all the hair that you desire to curl is rolled. Spray once again with hairspray.

When the rollers are completely cool to the touch, remove them from your hair. The time it takes for this depends upon the length of your hair. Be sure to clean all loose hair from them before returning the rollers to the warmer.

To separate your curls and make them look more natural, turn your head upside down and run your fingers through your hair from root to ends. Spray again to maintain the curls.
