Hair is often considered one of the most important things in terms of beauty. Women spend a lot of time coaxing, curling and styling hair. One way to style hair is with hot tools, such as straightening irons and hot rollers. Using hot rollers on your hair can make it voluminous and wavy, or wild and curly, depending on the rollers that you use.
Large Waves
One hairstyle that is created using hot rollers is long, loose and sultry waves. This style---which is often found on celebrities---looks best on very long hair, close to mid-back length. To create long waves, use the largest hot rollers possible in order to create waves rather than curls. Steam rollers work well for this style, too.
Ponytail
Even though you wear your hair up when it's in a ponytail, use medium to large hot rollers to create volume and a dressier ponytail. There is no need to use them on all of the hair. For a quick fix, use large hot rollers on the top of the hair, on the crown and in front of it. After sweeping the hair up into the ponytail, add one or two hot rollers to the length of the ponytail.
Shoulder-Length
Large rollers add shape to straight, shoulder-length hair. Using smaller rollers at the crown and larger rollers towards the front and bottom of the hair creates a stylish look. The curls should be quite loose and not curly at all. This can be accomplished by brushing out the curls and spraying the waves into place with hairspray.
Half-Up
Small or medium hot rollers create striking, tighter curls on long hair. Choose a half-up hairstyle for long hair that is at least three inches past the shoulders. After using the hot rollers on the hair, pull the top layer of hair back loosely and secure with a decorative clip.
