Most women like to play with clothes and accessories---matching clothes, shoes, jewelry and bags for an occasion. There's one accessory you've already got---your hair. Hairstyles can range from casual and sporty to elegant and sophisticated. Most times, a new look simply requires a few products already in the cabinet and just a few moments' time. The following two simple looks are easily done to create two different, fun looks.
Flower Updo
On dry hair, use a comb to separate the top section of your hair, then pull it into a ponytail on the top of your head. Secure with an elastic band. Spray hairspray and pin it into a small bun, out of the way of the rest of your hair. Gather the rest of your hair into a second ponytail, then secure with an elastic band. Take a one inch section from the bottom ponytail, then curl with a one-inch barrel curling iron. Let the curl drop out of the iron and pin the curl to the nape of your neck, letting the bottom of the curl dangle. Repeat for the entire bottom ponytail, curling small sections, pinning them around the place where you pinned the first curl, and leaving the bottoms to dangle. Unpin the top ponytail and repeat the curling section process on the entire top ponytail. Pin each curl next to the previous curl, working outwards and upwards to create a pretty collection of curls. Add small fresh flowers to your hair. (Ribbon, diamond clips, or lace may be used to match an outfit, celebrate an occasion, etc.)
French Twist
Dry hair, then use a 1 1/2 in. curling iron to curl bunches of hair, creating loose curls. Gather right side of hair and pin it to the back of your head. Hold left side of hair and twist it towards the right side. Curl sections of hair underneath and tuck them into the right side of the hair. This gives hair a pretty wave and texture. Gather the entire left-side length of hair at the nape of your neck and twist it towards the right side you've already bunched. Keep the style together with bobby pins or a pretty clip. The rest of your hair will take the shape of a low ponytail. Spray head with hairspray.
