How to Put Hair Up in a Military Bun

Military organizations are known for their strict codes of physical appearance which must be adhered to while in uniform. An effective method of creating an approved hair style for a woman is to wear your hair in a military bun. Tying your hair in a military bun is a simple process, which can be completed in a matter of minutes.

Instructions

Spray your hair with hairspray to make it easy to manage.

Comb your hair to make a part on one side of the head.

Pull your hair back and into a ponytail, and secure it in place with a hair band at the nape of the neck. Be sure to use a hair band the same color as the hair.

Roll the tube of the sock down until it is donut-shaped. This can be accomplished in your hands, or by sliding the tube over your wrist, then rolling it down the wrist.

Slide the ponytail through the hole in the tube sock donut, and pull the sock all the way up against your head.

Tilt your head forward, and spread the ponytail hairs around the entire perimeter of the sock, and secure it in place with a hair band beneath the sock.

Spray the bun with hairspray, and wrap any loose ends of the hair around the base of the bun and secure them in place. Spray with extra hairspray if needed to ensure that your bun remains tidy.
