Many women struggle with flat or limp hair. Although most people use a fine-toothed comb to tease their hair, a bristled brush can provide even more height. With a few pointers, you can create the maximum volume for your hair with very little difficulty.

Instructions

    1

Comb through your clean, dry hair to remove any tangles. Tangles while teasing can break or damage hair.

    2

Section off any area of hair that needs volume with a clip large enough to hold it. The easiest way to do this is to look at which areas lie the most flat from the front and the sides. For some women, the bangs and back area need volume. The sections should be no more than 2 inches wide and 2 inches thick. The thinner the section, the more volume you will get.

    3

Gather one section of hair from the clip at a time and twist the brush in toward the root two or three times. This is the teasing technique you will use for all sections.

    4

Spray each section of hair with hairspray after teasing and comb the section down until the desired look is achieved.
