How to Use Rubber Hair Curlers

Soft twist, rubber hair curlers are devices with a flexible metal core covered by a protective rubber tube. These rollers can be purchased from any beauty supply store or online. Different sized rollers will achieve different looks. For short, springy curls, use thin rollers; for loose or big curls, use thick rollers. They can be worn overnight, or used with a hairdryer for faster results.

Instructions

Wash your hair thoroughly, then apply a leave-in conditioner. Pat your hair dry with a microfiber towel. Use a wide-toothed comb to remove any tangles and to work the curling mousse into the roots and tips of your hair.

Section hair into three parts: middle, left and right. Use the comb to isolate a one-inch piece of hair from the front, middle section. Wrap the tips around the foam curler, then roll up to the root. Twist in half to fasten the ends together. Take another one inch piece of hair from the middle section and repeat.

Finish the middle section. Begin work on the left or right section. Repeat the same process until all hair is rolled into curlers. Leave in for 5 to 6 hours. If you'd prefer to use a blow dryer, blow dry hair as normal, but wait until hair is completely dry before removing the rollers.
