Long Hairstyles for Teens

Long hair is hot for teens these days. Many of the top teen celebrities are rocking some sort of long do and you can get the same looks using a few of your favorite styling products and hair accessories. Add a little color to your tresses to increase your fun. Select temporary hair color that washes out in one shampoo or try a semi-permanent color that fades in six to eight weeks.

Teens are loving the emo look. Express yourself with a cool emo hairstyle of your own. Grab some funky hair color to add a splash of color in unexpected places in your style.

Color all of your ends, or try a cool "skunk" strip of blue or red down the middle of your tresses. Another slick area for color placement is down the side of your head.

Apply a quarter-sized amount of pomade to your wet hair to accentuate the jagged nature of the cut. Air dry or use your hair dryer on a low setting.

Fire up the flat iron. Straighten your hair in small pieces to fully flatten your hair.

Add a dime-sized amount of pomade to the ends. Rub the compound between your fingers and pull down through the ends of your hair accentuate the jags.

Rock those natural waves and curls with a long layered do similar to the styles you see on stars like Miley Cyrus and Kate Hudson. Even if your hair doesn't have natural wave you can still achieve this look with a few products and a large barreled curling iron.

Wash your hair and add a quarter-sized amount of hair gel while it's still wet. Periodically scrunch your ends while it air dries or blow it dry on a low setting. Brush your hair and add a dime sized amount of pomade to the ends. Scrunch the pomade into your ends around your head. Allow it to dry.

Heat the curling iron and make several large curls around your head on the bottom portion of your hair. Allow your hair to set for five to 10 minutes and then lightly brush the curls. Push your bangs over to one side for an ultra sexy look.

Get the same look as Demi Lovato using only a small amount of gel and your hair dryer. Have your stylist give your bangs a blunt cut so they barely cover your eyebrows. Leave the rest of your hair long and add a few long layers to the bottom of the cut to give it body and style.

Styling this cut is easy. Rub a quarter-sized amount of hair gel in your palms and work it through your hair immediately after washing.

Blow dry your bangs using a large barreled round brush. Roll your bangs around the brush and concentrate the dryer on the bang area. After you finish drying each section of your bangs, remove the brush, then brush that section downward so that there is only body and no curl in your bangs.

Dry the remainder of your hair with your head tipped upside down to give the style body. Stand back up and brush your hair. Be sure you flatten your bangs with your brush. Re-dry them if necessary by holding them down with the brush and hitting the area with your hair dryer on low heat.
