Rock girls have to stand out among all the rising stars and continue to keep their faces before the public. One way they accomplish this is by their different hair styles. Some like their hair short while others like it long. Some wear very fancy styles while others go for the quick and easy.
Pink
Pink, also known as Alecia Beth Moore, likes to wear her hair short. She usually wears it in a very simple style which resembles the shag haircuts of the 1970s. She has bangs and a little height on top, then pulls the sides towards her face. Sometimes she tucks her hair behind her ears and sometimes she covers her ears. When she wants to look dressy, she sweeps it up on top of her head and adds curls. This gives her a 1940s or 1950s glamor girl look.
Katy Perry
Ms. Kathryn Elizabeth Hudson wears her hair just below her shoulders. She has long layers and bangs, which makes it easy for her to change her hair style at a whim. Her latest look shows off the many layers in her hair. The sides are shorter than the bottom layers. She wears the sides flipped out and tucked behind her ears. She has a side part and her bangs are brushed off her face to one side.
Lady GaGa
Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, better known as Lady GaGa, wears her hair long and all one length. It hangs straight down below her breasts and her bangs are cut straight across. They cover her eyebrows but do not go below the lower brow bone so she does not have to worry about it obscuring her vision. Her straight hairstyle is reminiscent of one that Cher, a rock star in her own right, has worn before.
Amy Winehouse
Amy Winehouse wears her black hair long. The longest part of her hair hangs almost to her waist. Her hair is different lengths but they more closely resemble what hair that simply needs a trim would look like rather than having actually been cut into layers.
Amy likes to wear the hair on top of her hair in a style reminiscent of the late 1950s and early 1960s beehive or bouffant hairdo. It adds an interesting contrast to the more modern appearance of the rest of her hair.
Avril Lavigne
Avril also wears her hair long, hanging down almost to her waist. The color ranges from an ash blond, almost light brown to a golden blond. She can be very versatile with her styles and there are pictures of her wearing her hair in the popular scrunched style with long spiral curls, as well as poker straight. Another photo shows it flipped slightly on the sides and falling into long layers.
