Styles for Straight Medium Hair

Straight hair can be styled in a number of different ways. Medium length is just long enough to pull off some styles, without being too long for others. Thanks to the many tools available, straight medium hair can showcase some of the best styles.

Medium length hair can be styled in a simple bun. For a less severe look, strands can be pulled out and curled. The hair can also be pulled to the side for a French roll. This might require a number of pins, depending on the thickness of the hair. For simple elegance, hair can also be pulled back into a ponytail and allowed to hang.

Hair can be parted on the side and waved slightly in the front with the ends turned slightly under for a 1940's "screen goddess" effect. The top of the hair can be pulled back, while the rest is allowed to hang. Curls can be added for effect. And, of course, it can be combed straight back and held in place with a hair band.

Medium hair is long enough to accommodate all sorts of braided styles. French braids are a wonderful example, as are circular braids that wrap around the crown. More ornate styles, such as fishtail braids and braids in shapes, do well with this type of hair.
